QUALIFICATIONS - J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar. - Minimum of 6–8 years of relevant legal experience, including a combination of a top-tier law firm and/or in-house experience at a public company; life sciences, biotech, or technology industry experience strongly preferred. - Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements and advising on corporate governance matters. - Working knowledge of federal securities laws and Securities Exchange Act of 1934 reporting requirements; prior experience supporting an IPO or public-company reporting cycle is essential. - Excellent business judgment with the ability to balance legal risk against commercial objectives, prioritize across competing demands, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Genuine curiosity about and willingness to explore and implement AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve the efficiency of the legal function; comfort working at an AI-driven company and a thoughtful approach to the associated confidentiality, data privacy, and governance considerations. - Experience with data privacy and data governance (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GDPR) a plus. - Strong drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, hands-on approach and a track record of partnering effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
