The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The Amazon EC2 Solutions Architecture team was created to make sure customers can deploy the most scalable, and most performant Compute architectures possible. You’ll play an important role as an advocate with our service teams to make sure we are building the right products. The team is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect who will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for our supporting customers across the wide range of EC2 instances. As a Compute Solution Architect (SA), you will work with customers globally, partner closely with the engineering, business development, and technical field teams to drive the adoption of Amazon EC2 Compute resources. The EC2 Compute SA will develop white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations to enable customers and partners to understand and leverage the value of EC2. The EC2 Compute SA will also help drive enablement initiatives to continually develop the best technical field teams in the industry. \*\*\*~30% travel required\*\*\* Key job responsibilities - Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap. - Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges. - Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc. - Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives. - Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.
