Sr Business Intelligence - Enterprise Data Analytics - FT VARYING SHIFTS

**POSITION SUMMARY** Under the direction of the Director of Enterprise Data Analytics, the Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst analyzes, provides specifications, and develops reports and dashboards that support the data initiatives for Sky Lakes Medical Center’s health care entities. The BI Analyst has experience with business intelligence and analytic tools, and SQL programming. The BI Analyst designs and plans automated analytical solutions, as well as debugs, monitors, and troubleshoots those solutions. The BI Analyst writes relational database queries and has experience with data warehousing and data modeling. The BI Analyst has proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development. Forms productive relationships with end users by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively. Participates on project teams as well as working independently. Responsible for writing fundamental documentation in a clear, concise manner. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Required**: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Computer Science/Software Engineering, or related field. Two years of experience in SQL programming or BI development in a Healthcare setting. Current Epic Cogito Certification within 120 days of hire. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment at a high-performance level, to meet goals and project deadlines. **Preferred**: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/MIS. Experience with Tableau or Microsoft Power BI. Epic Cogito Certification **TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS** Requires ability to concentrate on logical problem solving in the midst of distractions. The individual must adapt quickly and apply learned principles and techniques to complex situations. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** - Develop BI Applications to enhance business decision making capabilities. - Create and interpret database queries. - Identify data discrepancies and data quality issues and works with other enterprise analytics members and SMEs to ensure data consistency and integrity. - Skills in the extraction, merging and transformation of large data sets across systems and databases environments. - Analyze, manipulate and understand data to present and create dashboards to make business decisions. - Collect and analyze business requirements and implement solutions. - Responsible for integrity of the output including validation of the data in BI Applications, systems, and data domains. - Execute and provide status on project work plans, revising as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements. - Testing of analytic performance and accuracy before data source or application upgrades. - Write clear and concise documentation for each analytic or report developed. **MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS** - Performs other duties as assigned.
