This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with children and fostering a positive, active, and engaging environment. The Youth Sports Instructor will play a key role in promoting skill development, teamwork, and a love for physical activity in a fun and inclusive setting. Key responsibilities include: - Leading and assisting in youth sports activities, including curriculum development and scheduling. - Ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants. - Setting up and maintaining equipment and activity areas. - Engaging with parents and guardians professionally to address any questions or concerns. - Evaluating program effectiveness and assisting with program improvements. - Supporting YMCA events and initiatives as needed. ## Requirements - At least **one year of experience** managing or leading sports or recreation programs for children. - Strong ability to teach and assist in youth sports activities. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and enthusiasm. - Passion for youth development and fostering a supportive learning environment. - **CPR/AED and First Aid certification** (or willingness to obtain). - **Valid driver’s license** and reliable transportation. - Must complete all required YMCA training upon hire.
