SPED Tutor - Bay Area / NorCal

**Pay:** **$25–$35+/hour, (Additional premium rates available** based on credentials and experience) · **Hours:** ~2–10 hrs/week to start, room to grow · **Location:** In-home across California ### About the Role At Tutor Me Education, we connect passionate educators with neurodivergent students for high-impact, 1:1 in-home tutoring. As an In-Home Special Education Tutor, you'll deliver personalized academic instruction, socio-emotional support, and patient behavioral guidance aligned to each student's learning style and IEP goals — right in their home. This is a flexible, part-time W-2 employee role. Start with one student (~2–10 hrs/week) and take on additional students whenever you'd like to grow your hours and income. ### What You'll Do - Lead engaging 1:1 sessions tailored to students with diverse learning needs - Implement creative lesson plans aligned to each student's IEP goals (full resources and support from our team) - Adapt academic materials to each student's unique learning profile - Track progress after each session and keep open, empathetic communication with parents and guardians - Foster a safe, inclusive environment that builds confidence and resilience ### Who We're Looking For - AA, BA, or higher (Special Education, Psychology, or Education preferred) - Hands-on experience supporting students with special needs or learning differences (e.g., ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia) — currently enrolled college students with this experience are encouraged to apply - Empathy, patience, and a student-first approach - Reliable vehicle for local travel to client homes - Ability to pass a background check - Bilingual (Spanish/English) a strong plus — **premium rates available** for bilingual matches ### Pay **$25–$35+ per hour**, based on your credentials, specialization, and the needs of the student you're matched with.
