StatCare is seeking a Specialty Medication Coordinator to manage patients receiving advanced biologic therapies for severe asthma and pulmonary disease, including Dupixent®, Fasenra®, Nucala®, and Tezspire®. This individual plays a key role in the care of patients requiring biologic medications for pulmonary conditions. This position has administrative duties including navigating prior authorizations, coordinating patient access to therapy, and providing comprehensive education to patients and their caregivers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and skilled at managing administrative workflows. This position involves regular interaction with patients, providers, insurance representatives, and specialty pharmacies. **KEY RESPONSIBILITES:** - Coordinate biologic therapy from provider order through treatment initiation. - Obtain insurance authorizations and appeals. - Complete benefit investigations. - Enroll patients in manufacturer copay and patient assistance programs. - Coordinate with specialty pharmacies regarding medication fulfillment and shipment. - Educate patients on treatment expectations and scheduling. - Track therapy renewals and authorization expirations. - Monitor medication inventory and treatment schedules. - Communicate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacies to ensure uninterrupted patient care. - Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. **KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:** - Knowledge of prior authorization processes, insurance requirements, and specialty pharmacy coordination. - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in a patient-friendly manner. - Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite. **Experience:** - Minimum of three years of experience in a clinical setting. - Minimum of three years of experience in prior authorizations. - Experience within a pulmonology or allergy practice would be preferred. **WORK LOCATION:** Administrative Office **BENEFITS:** - 401(k) - Dental insurance - Health insurance - Paid time off - Vision insurance StatCare symbolizes excellence, every patient, every time.
