UTA seeks a highly organized, proactive, and analytical Specialist, Legal Operations, to support the Director of Legal Operations in driving efficient processes and initiatives across the Legal department. This role is primarily remote, with the expectation of occasional in-office attendance as needed at our Beverly Hills, California office. The salary range for this role is $30 – $50/hour commensurate with experience and skills. Responsibilities: - Maintain and organize legal documentation, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and consistency across contract databases and knowledge management systems. - Work under the direction of the Director of Legal Operations and collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Finance, IT, and People, to streamline legal operations workflows and improve efficiency. - Under the direction and review of UTA’s internal Employment Counsel, populate first drafts of approved form employment agreements and other template-based agreements and organize and maintain any updates to the Legal Department’s library of form agreements. - Support outside counsel spend management and billing processes, including tracking legal invoices, reviewing billing submissions for accuracy, and coordinating follow-up as needed. · Assist with certain aspects of the monthly Legal department accrual and budget review. - Support pre-litigation and litigation matters by coordinating legal holds, assisting with targeted email searches and discovery collections, supporting document review and production, and tracking key timelines and deadlines. - Support evolving Legal department priorities and special projects, adapting quickly to changing needs and shifting deadlines. - Assist with compliance, risk management, and other legal department initiatives as needed. What you will need: - Bachelor’s degree. - 3+ years of experience in legal or people operations, legal administration, or project management in a legal setting required. - Experience supporting legal operations workflows and contract databases. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Strong organizational, analytical, drafting, and project management skills, with exceptional attention to detail. - Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new subject matter, systems, processes, and technologies; asks thoughtful questions and proactively seeks to understand the “why” behind the work. - Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. - High level of professionalism and discretion, including the ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information. - Proficiency in legal technology platforms (e.g., contract management, e-billing, document management). - Experience working in a law firm or in-house corporate legal department, entertainment industry exposure is a plus.
