Special Education Teacher, Oak Ridge Intermediate - 26/27 JobID: 631 Position Type: Elementary School Teaching Date Posted: 7/15/2026 Location: Oak Ridge Intermediate Additional Information: Show/Hide TITLE:Special Education Teacher, Oak Ridge Intermediate - 26/27 POSITION SUMMARY: The Camdenton R-III School District is seeking a Special Education teacher for grades 3rd through 5th, that provides specialized instruction and support to students with cognitive, developmental or physical disabilities. Creating a culture of "Everyone Learning Every Day". QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess and maintain a proper Missouri teaching certificate in Special Education or related field. Pass all background checks and screenings. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Board Policy for Staff Conduct REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Process Coordinator ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, implement, and maintain IEPs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Modify general education lesson plans, materials, and testing methods to match students' cognitive, physical, and sensory abilities. Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports to manage classroom behavior and enhance social-emotional growth. Evaluate student progress, maintain accurate records, and use data to adjust instructional strategies. Coordinate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, counselors, and administrators to support student success. Possess patience, creativity, strong communication, behavioral management techniques, and adaptability skills. Ability to assist with personal care, lifting, or managing active, high-needs classrooms. Collaborate with related service providers such as Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist etc. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Building Principal and other Central Office administrators as designated by the Superintendent. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 month contract (179 days) Salary Schedule - Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
