The District proudly serves over 2200 learners from preschool through 12th grade in five buildings (West Elementary, PK thru 2nd; Central Elementary, PK thru 5th, Big Creek Elementary, 3rd-5th, Middle School, 6th-8th; and High School, 9th-12th). North Polk High School, located in Alleman, is seeking to hire a special education paraeducator. An individual must be flexible, collaborative, and willing to learn and grow. Hours: 7 - 8 hours per day Compensation: $17.82 - 20.11/per hour, depending on certification Benefits: Benefits associated with this role include paid leaves, including sick and personal, as well as IPERS. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Supporting a safe, positive teaching and learning environment. • Adhering to the Individual Education Plan and maintaining confidentiality regarding student educational programming. • Assisting in the physical and intellectual development of students. • Supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral development of students. • Establishing positive and productive relationships. • Communicating consistently with teachers, staff, and students. • Demonstrating ethical and professional standards of conduct. • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other staff to ensure best practice and supports are in place for students. • Participating in professional learning opportunities, as appropriate.
