Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the teacher will implement district-approved curriculum, develop and monitor IEPs, and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Conduct assessments, testing, and diagnostic evaluations to identify learning needs and recommend corrective instructional strategies. Participate in the evaluation of student needs and assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students' academic, social, vocational, behavioral, and functional needs. Design and deliver instruction in functional academics, communication, self-care, community-based instruction, and work-related skills. Utilize evidence-based practices and data-driven instructional strategies aligned with Autism Support programming. Collect, analyze, and document student performance data to guide instruction and measure progress toward IEP goals. Coordinate and collaborate with administrators, related service providers, support staff, families, and outside agencies to support student success. Encourage and facilitate meaningful parent/guardian involvement and maintain effective communication regarding student progress. Prepare students for post-secondary outcomes, including employment, independent living, and community participation. Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment that supports student growth and independence.
