Spa Attendant

JOB PURPOSE: The Spa Attendant will work as a part of the spa team to consistentlyprovide the highest possible standard of guest service, creating asensory journey for guests helping them to rest, relax and regain a senseof balance and harmony in their lives.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: As part of the MOKARA Spa team, Spa Attendants consistently provide the highestpossible standard of guest service, creating a sensory journey for guests, helping themto rest, relax and regain a sense of balance and harmony in their lives. Ensure the Fitness Center is maintained and set to Omni standard. Responsible for greeting guests, providing locker set up of robes and slippers, beveragesand checking in and checking out of guests. Maintain cleanliness and neatness of spa facility, locker room and fitness center. Responsible for escorting guests to the locker room, relaxation area and enlighteningthem on their services. Perform daily general cleaning and minor maintenance tasks in the spa facility. Responsible for opening and/or closing of the hammam, sauna, steam room andwhirlpool areas, and their daily sanitation. Ensure pre-selling, up-selling and cross-selling of services and retail products to eachguest. Relay, with confidence, both product and service benefits to guests and offer suggestedretail and treatment opportunities. Provide tours of the spa, offer/serve beverages and snacks. Assist guests in the ritual area, relaxation space and jacuzzi as needed ensuringexceptional experiences and safety while with us. Communicate spa promotions with guests. Ensure all guest challenges are resolved in a timely manner and management is madeaware of situation.QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 1-year experience working in a customer service-based position. Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language required, must be able tocommunicate with guests and staff professionally and with empathy. Commitment to exceeding the expectations of customers, always operating with astrong attention to detail to the client’s needs. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance. Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Must obtain a State of Florida TIPS Alcoholic Beverage Server Permit.ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS: Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds withoutassistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extendedperiod or for an entire shift.TOOLS & EQUIPMENT: Desktop computer, selected spa program, printer, telephone, copier, fax machine andscanner.
