In this highly visible role, you'll develop **innovative category strategies**, optimize spend, strengthen supplier partnerships, and influence enterprise-wide decisions that deliver measurable business value. We’re working a **minimum of 4 days a week onsite** as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. **In this role, you will:** - Develop and execute the global Meetings category strategy aligned with business objectives and enterprise policies. - Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, including market analysis, RFPs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and implementation. - Optimize enterprise Meetings spend through innovative sourcing strategies and data-driven decision making. - Manage strategic meeting agency and supplier partnerships, including performance management, KPIs, SLAs, quarterly business reviews, rebates, and chargeback models. - Build trusted partnerships with business leaders and suppliers while influencing cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategy adoption. - Monitor market trends and provide category insights to keep Medtronic at the forefront of the Meetings industry. - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership. **Minimum Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree with **7+ years** of relevant experience, **or** - Advanced degree with **5+ years** of relevant experience. **Preferred Qualifications** - Global category management experience with demonstrated success developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies. - Extensive experience managing the Meetings category and enterprise meeting spend. - Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, suppliers, and executive stakeholders. - Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI. - Strong business and contract acumen with exceptional attention to detail. - Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, global environment.
