We are currently in search of a skilled Installer who will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining solar PV systems.. **Duties/Responsibilities:** - Assembles and installs solar panels on roofs - Configures PV systems based on site conditions and customers needs and expectations; connects panels to the power grid - Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety - Complete projects within established policies and procedures - Ensures that equipment is weather sealed - Performs routine maintenance on PV systems - Responsible for assisting the Electrician with connecting PV panels to the electrical system - Performs other related duties as assigned **Required Skills/Abilities:** - Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation. - Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to read building plans. - Ability to read equipment manuals. - Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels. - Ability to use ION technology, such as smartphones, Paycom, Field Pro, SalesForce, etc. **Education and Experience:** - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Vocational or technical school training preferred. - Experience in solar, roofing, or construction preferred **Physical Requirements:** - Must be able to work at great heights. - Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders. - Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time. **Work Environment:** - PV installation is done outdoors. Installers work on rooftops but also sometimes work in attics and crawl spaces to connect panels to the electrical grid. - PV installers work as part of a team.
