About the Role We’re looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about building high- quality software and collaborating closely with other engineers to solve challenging problems. In this role, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable systems using Python ( FastAPI), React, and AWS in a fast- paced, agile environment. You will work across the stack to build robust, maintainable solutions, write clean and efficient code, and follow best practices to ensure high performance, security, and reliability. This is a hands- on engineering role with opportunities to grow your technical skills while making meaningful contributions to our products. Responsibilities · Elevate code quality: Champion test-driven development, code hygiene, and clean architecture across the team · Agile delivery: Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and incremental delivery with a strong bias toward iteration and value delivery · Lead by example: Design and implement scalable, robust systems across the backend (Python/FastAPI), frontend (React), and cloud infrastructure (AWS) · Raise the bar: Set and uphold high standards for code quality, testing, performance, and maintainability · Drive technical alignment: Lead code reviews, design reviews, and engineering discussions that result in thoughtful, well-documented decisions · Champion documentation: Author and review technical design documents to guide team implementation and maintain long-term clarity · Build for resilience: Design systems with fault tolerance, observability, and graceful degradation in mind; guide the team in applying principles of reliability and operational excellence · Lead incident response and learning: Participate in and improve incident response processes, drive actionable postmortems, and promote a culture of continuous improvement · Cross-functional alignment: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on roadmap priorities and delivery timelines Nice to Have · Full-Stack · React · Python Experience · AWS Experience Why Join Us · Be part of a fast-growing software engineering team within a stable, established company. · Opportunities for career advancement, ownership, and professional development. · Lead high-impact projects and influence the technical direction of our systems and culture. · Work with passionate engineers who value thoughtful design, high-quality code, and continuous improvement. · Enjoy a collaborative, in-person team environment at our Brooklyn, NY office. The anticipated full-time annualized salary range will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. At this time, we are unable to provide H-1B visa sponsorship or any other employment-based sponsorship. This role is based onsite at our Brooklyn, NY office. Relocation assistance is not available.
