## Your job The Smart Sourcing team’s mission is to empower employers to quickly discover and connect with top talent through innovative search and matching technology. We build and maintain the core product that enables employers to source candidates effectively, using modern technologies in a Java, React, and microservice-based architecture. As an engineer on the team, you will empower the employers by developing and optimizing features that enable talent management and make their hiring process efficient. Your work will directly influence how employers manage and communicate with candidates across different stages of hiring while giving you the opportunity to work with modern tools and patterns at scale. Our systems are large-scale and high-performance. You will work alongside highly skilled software engineers, data scientists, and product scientists, and you will frequently collaborate with teams across the organization to deliver critical projects. ## Who you are - Design, implement, and maintain features and services that support core business workflows. - Contribute to the evolution of existing systems while helping prototype and deliver new capabilities. - Participate in code reviews and design discussions to maintain quality, reliability, and clarity. - Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data partners to deliver end-to-end solutions. - Identify performance and scalability improvements and enhance existing code accordingly. - Share knowledge and provide guidance to teammates through collaboration and feedback. - Communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively within the team. ## Who we are - Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or a PhD without experience - Experience building or contributing to large-scale or distributed systems. - Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science fundamentals. - A demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability for delivered work. - Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and enjoyment of solving complex technical problems. ## Our mission As the world’s number 1 job site\*, our mission is to help people get jobs.
