Software Engineer 3

We are looking for a strong full-stack software developer with functional UI experience but primarily focused on backend web services and servers. Experience with open-source integrations would be great and any experience with open-source tools is required - i.e. AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, Rancher, Tomcat, Spring, JMS and AWS. Strong communication skills are needed. Other technologies required: java, javascript, mongo DB, Elasticsearch, Postgres, and Mysql The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. Tech stack areas of experience/understanding would be: • Critical: Java threading, SpringBoot, JavaScript, JMS, MongoDB, AWS, Amazon RDS • REST, Docker, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, Cockroach DB or other RDBMS at similar scale, COOP, Large scale distributed systems with high availability • Desired: Kibana, Alfresco, Content Management tools, Node, Svelt, React, and Angular • Confluence, Jira, Maven, Git Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
