Social Worker – Children

Liquid Personnel is recruiting experienced Social Workers to join a range of Children's Services teams in Vale of Glamorgan and across South Wales. Opportunities are available within CASP, Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings (PLO), Court, and Intake and Locality (Long-Term) teams. In these roles, you will support children and families involved in child protection plans, pre-proceedings, and court processes, helping to safeguard children and improve outcomes for families. Working in line with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Wales Safeguarding Procedures, you will take a strengths-based, child-focused approach, working in partnership with families and other professionals to achieve positive, lasting outcomes for children and young people. You will be joining experienced and supportive teams led by established Team Managers and Principal Social Workers who are committed to professional development. Regular monthly supervision, ongoing learning and training opportunities, and a flexible hybrid working model are all on offer, alongside a collaborative team culture for those who value office-based support. What will your responsibilities be? Manage a caseload of children, young people, and families within statutory Children's Services. Undertake assessments, care planning, safeguarding interventions, and risk management activities. Support children and families involved in Child Protection, PLO, and Court proceedings. Complete statutory visits and maintain accurate case records. Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for court hearings, child protection conferences, and review meetings. Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including education, health, and legal professionals. Develop effective relationships with children and families to promote positive outcomes. Ensure all practice is compliant with relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and local authority policies. Benefits Flexible hybrid working arrangements. Regular monthly supervision. Essential Requirements To be successful in this role, you must have: Degree in Social Work (or equivalent recognised qualification). Registration with Social Care Wales. A minimum of three years' experience within a Children's Social Work setting. Relevant post-qualified Social Work experience. Full UK driving licence and access to a car. Right to work in the UK.
