Job Title: Small Engine Mechanic Company: MetroGreenscape, Inc. Location: Charlotte, NC What you will do - Diagnose and repair commercial landscape equipment - Work on mowers, blowers, trimmers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, and other handheld equipment - Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, mowers, and small equipment. Occasionally, will fix tires on company vehicles in the field. - Handle oil changes, filters, belts, blades, greasing, hydraulic issues, electrical issues, and other day-to-day repair needs - Troubleshoot breakdowns quickly and get crews back up and running fast - Stay ahead of problems through preventative maintenance and inspection - Keep the shop and mechanic area clean, organized, and ready to work - Track repairs, parts used, and service needs in company systems - Communicate clearly with management on priorities, repair timelines, and equipment needs - Help maintain accountability for tools, parts, equipment, and repair inventory What success looks like as our Mechanic - Crews are not waiting for long periods for the repair of broken equipment - Repairs are done fast and done right - Preventive maintenance means staying ahead of breakdowns - The shop is clean, organized, and efficient - Equipment is not piling up waiting for service - Trucks, trailers, and equipment reflect the pride and standards of our company - You bring urgency, ownership, and consistency every day What we are looking for - Minimum 2 - 3 years of repair experience - Experience working on commercial mowers and landscape equipment - Experience with small engines, hydraulic systems, belts, spindles, electrical issues, and general troubleshooting - Ability to handle basic truck and trailer maintenance What We Offer - $23 - $30 hourly - Individual Health Reimbursement Account Benefit - Colonial Life Insurance Voluntary Plan - 401(K) Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match - Paid Time Off - Eight (8) Company-paid holidays - Paid Bereavement Leave - Employee Perks - Company vehicle for roadside repairs Apply at www.MetroGreenscape.com/careers
