This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy traveling, working outdoors, and contributing to meaningful infrastructure and industrial projects. The Skilled Travel Laborer will perform a variety of construction, maintenance, and site support duties while working alongside experienced supervisors and project teams. Successful candidates are safety-focused, adaptable, and committed to delivering quality work in fast-paced environments. ## Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Travel to assigned project sites as required. - Perform general labor and skilled trade support activities. - Assist with construction, maintenance, repair, and installation projects. - Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. - Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment. - Prepare and maintain job sites, including housekeeping and cleanup activities. - Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements. - Work collaboratively with supervisors, operators, and project teams to meet project deadlines. - Complete physically demanding work in various weather conditions and environments. - Represent SDAC professionally while interacting with customers and project stakeholders. ## Qualifications - Previous experience in construction, industrial services, rail, environmental, or general labor preferred. - Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays. - Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred. - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. - Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime when needed. - Strong communication skills and commitment to teamwork. - Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. ## Preferred Qualifications - OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. - Experience operating equipment or machinery. - Experience with rail, environmental, industrial cleaning, hydro excavation, or construction projects. - CDL or ability to obtain one. - Mechanical, welding, or equipment maintenance experience. *SDAC is an Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status a protected veteran.
