## Description Goyette Mechanical is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Professional to join our growing team in Greater Columbus. This a full-time, hourly, non-contract position with benefits. If you're passionate about creating a culture of safety, driving compliance, and making a real impact on job sites and in the workplace, we want to hear from you! **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** • Reinforce that team members on the project site are in compliance with safety requirements mandated by the owner or general contractor of the current contract in addition to Goyette Mechanical’s Safety Policies and Procedures. • Ensure that appropriate safety records are maintained. • Responsible for investigating and completing incident investigations to determine the root cause and corrective actions necessary • Responsible for timely reporting and tracking of all team member worksite injuries • Ensure project safety pre-planning, subcontractor pre-qualification, and pre-construction meetings are completed as required • Responsible for conducting job site-specific training • Assist will all necessary job site inspections including color coding, fall protection, equipment inspections and job hazard assessments (JHAs) • Be onsite to supervise and assist during the performance of any high-risk activities • Works closely with Greater Columbus, OH Safety Manager, Project Managers and Superintendents to implement a safety and education training program in compliance with the Goyette Mechanical. • Other duties and tasks as necessary • Specific work locations include: Greater Columbus, Ohio area Northwest central Ohio Hilliard, OH 43026, United States ## Requirements **Qualifications:** • Experience with fall arrest/fall restraint in elevated construction work surfaces. • Experience with confined space work in construction or adjacent field, such as emergency response or industrial safety work. • Experience working around and in excavation construction sites. • Strong verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and comfortably with customers and employees over the phone and in person • Strong organizational skills are required • Previous experience with a construction or service company • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required. • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on deadlines; excellent time management skills are necessary to succeed in a fast-paced environment. • Attention to detail and accuracy are highly critical in this role. • Must be able to foster and support a teamwork environment, placing a high emphasis on excellent customer service • Proven ability to foster a positive and productive safety culture while promoting cooperation and improved morale throughout the division. • OSHA 510 at minimum **Working Conditions** • Field to office ratio is typically 90% to 10%. • Travel to jobsites in greater Columbus, OH and surrounding areas. • Job requires working outside to include in occasional inclement weather. • Medium duty: Prolonged standing and movement on foot throughout work site. • Use of company vehicle. • Local candidates encouraged to apply **Compensation and Benefits:** • Experience-dependent, competitive hourly wage. • Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off. • Health Insurance, optional Dental and Vision insurance. • 401K Company Match and Profit Sharing. **Goyette Mechanical is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.** We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, age, disability, height, weight, marital status, or any other protected characteristic.
