This is a high-energy, hands-on role where you will help transport, assemble, and mount custom signs across the region. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) - **Support the Mission:** Assist the Lead Installer in the safe and precise mounting of channel letters, monument signs, and high-end wall graphics. - **Master the Gear:** Take ownership of the "Pre-Flight" check. You’ll ensure the van is fully stocked with the correct drill bits, fasteners, and hardware before leaving the shop. - **On-Site Precision:** Help secure signs into brick, concrete, and metal. You’ll be the second set of hands ensuring everything is level, centered, and safe. - **Safety Watch:** Act as the ground-safety spotter during bucket truck and aerial lift operations, ensuring the public and the crew remain safe. - **Learn the Trade:** Proactively learn the technical skills required to eventually move into a Lead Installer role. Who You Are (Requirements) - **Foundational Skill:** You already know how to safely use a cordless drill, impact driver, and tape measure. You can read a tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch. - **Comfort with Heights:** You are 100% comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms (up to 30ft+). No fear of heights allowed. - **Physical Grit:** This is a physical job. You must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in the varied Pittsburgh weather. - **Mechanical Aptitude:** You’re the person friends call when they need help fixing things. You understand how parts fit together. - **Reliability:** You are a "clock-in-early" professional.
