All team members are expected to live out our values in daily actions: - Gratitude – show appreciation, support teammates, and represent Furmano’s positively with customers and vendors. - Honesty – maintain accurate logs and paperwork; communicate issues immediately; operate with integrity. - Kindness – treat others with respect; communicate professionally under pressure; de-escalate conflict. - Diligence – work safely and attentively; follow procedures; manage time effectively; complete tasks right the first time. - Unity – operate as a team player across Warehouse, Transportation, and Maintenance; support the broader mission above individual preference. **Essential Functions:** - Operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently for shuttle runs between Furmano’s and local outside storage locations. - Perform yard jockeying as needed, including trailer moves and positioning to support shipping/receiving flow. - Load and unload pallets by hand as required; safely operate forklift and hand jack as assigned. - Complete all required paperwork and/or electronic transactions in a timely and accurate manner (including WMS transactions). - Communicate effectively with external vendors and internal stakeholders regarding schedules, issues, and exceptions. - Report and verify damages and short counts; document discrepancies per process and escalate promptly. - Perform customer deliveries as needed, following assigned routing and customer requirements. - Conduct routine equipment inspections (tractor, trailer, and material handling equipment as applicable) and report defects or concerns to Maintenance/mechanics. - Maintain dependable attendance; report to work on time and ready to perform assigned duties. - Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with role scope and capability. **Safety, Quality, and Compliance Expectations:** - Follow all Furmano’s safety rules and safe work practices; stop work and report unsafe conditions immediately. - Maintain DOT compliance, including required physicals, drug/alcohol testing, and adherence to applicable driving regulations. - Operate equipment in a manner that protects people, product quality, and property, practice stewardship of vehicles and trailers. - Support food safety and sanitation expectations while on Furmano’s property and at outside storage locations. **Competencies:** - Safety-first mindset; calm, professional decision-making. - Strong attention to detail (paperwork accuracy, counts, inspections). - Customer service orientation and professional communication. - Time management and self-direction; ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment. - Teamwork and cooperati…
