The Shop Supervisor will interact and communicate with leaders, shop team members, customers, and management. This position is in Warren, MI. **As a Shop Supervisor within Defense, you will:** - Interact with and communicate with customers to resolve issues and ensure program timing, budget, and quality standards are met. - Supervise team members including setting goals, providing guidance, and training. - Manage employee conflict, safety incidents, and emergency situations. - Work with internal departments to utilize available resources. - Ensure shop equipment is maintained properly. - Manage shop organization and clean-up ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed. **As a Shop Supervisor, you must have:** - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a shop environment to include 2 years of experience leading others formally or informally. - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills. - U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) - Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment. - Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills. - Ability to supervise, mentor, and train team members. - Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures. **A successful candidate may also have:** - Certificate in Automotive Technology, Engineering Technology, Welding Technology or related. - Valid driver’s license.
