HOLT CAT is hiring a heavy construction equipment **Shop Service Technician 4** for our Irving, Texas location. The Shop Service Technician is responsible for performing inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of diesel-powered heavy construction equipment and/or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines. Works independently or as a member of a team to provide mechanical services that satisfies customer needs and achieves departmental goals. Mid-level position – Generally has more than **seven** years of experience and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. A Level IV Technician has a broad knowledge of the field’s standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of standard, complex, and technical tasks; is self-starting and requires minimal supervision; is often a team member on a large project. We are located at 3131 State Highway 161, Irving, Texas 75062. Our hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm. ### Essential Functions - Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission - Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures - Disassembles and assembles of machine components to manufacturer’s specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling - Rebuilds, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components - Demonstrates good customer relations and support; communicates customer needs to shop management - Plans and controls cost of repair jobs - Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return - Provides a significant amount of task and behavior-oriented mentoring, and training to others - Maintains all equipment and work areas – keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition - Completes all documents associated with repairs in a timely manner - Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards - Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs - Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; e.g., ProTech Technician Training Paths - Requires regular and punctual employee attendance - Performs other duties as assigned The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1.
