Shop Laborer - Weekdays, Fabrication Shop

For over 100 years, Maguire has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. The Shop Laborer will perform a variety of tasks within the fabrication shop. **Essential Functions:** - Cleans and lubricates equipment, maintains a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, and readies or puts away tools as assigned. - Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery. - Cares for property by repairing yard, shoveling and removing snow. - By using an oxygen acetylene torch, cuts steel scrap material and carries to bin to assist with burn table operations. - Fills in for sandblaster for continuing blast booth operations if full-time blaster is absent. - Performs any unskilled job at the fabrication shop. - Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee.
