Shipping Worker - DC

**Job Description:** Job Summary: Responsible for performing basic shipping and receiving tasks in a manufacturing facility. **Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:** - Receives, inspects, and verifies incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders. - Prepares and packages products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. - Operates basic shipping equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and wrapping machines. - Maintains accurate records of shipped and received goods in the inventory management system. - Assists in loading and unloading trucks and containers. - Ensures the cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving area. - Follows all safety protocols and guidelines. - Nails and staples guns to the operational equipment bullet. - Responds to emails when necessary. **Education and Experience Requirements:** Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment is preferred but not required. Forklift, Manlift, and Tractor certification may be required. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry. - Good communication skills - Attention to detail and accuracy. - Strong organizational skills. - Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment. **Work Environment:** - Ability to lift and move objects up to 50lbs. - Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time. - Work environment may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures, loud noises, dirt, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects and heavy forklift traffic. **Disclaimer:** Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
