The Bernard Group is looking for an enthusiastic Shipping/Packing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you ensure the packaging of all materials are shipped safely and prevent any damage during transport. **Shift available:** Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm **A variety of these traits will help land you this job. If you have:** - a high school diploma or GED - previous warehouse experience, preferred - experience in shipping and transportation management software is a plus **On top of that you must:** - pay close attention to details on every project - have basic computer skills, including Pace and Google - be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs - plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your own work - have the ability to work independently, make decisions and solve moderate level problems independently, effectively and creatively - complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting company quality standards - apply effective time management and self-management skills - understand and maintain the confidential nature of company, employee and customer information - flourish in a team-oriented environment - have a positive attitude always - can handle change in stride - adaptable to a fast-paced environment **In this position you'll:** - ensure the packaging of product is sufficient enough so no damage occurs during shipping. - process shipments on FedEx, UPS and our internal transportation management system. - work with the shipping lead to make sure inventory of packaging material is kept at a sufficient level. - capture all accurate dims and weights on all outbound packages. - use best practices for who we use for shipments for both cost and service. - perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management. **To get hired at The Bernard Group, you MUST be:** - able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
