The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that products are properly pulled, packed, labeled, and loaded onto trucks in a timely and accurate manner. This role includes properly identifying materials, prepping, packing and labeling orders for shipment, as well as loading truck shipments. The Shipping Coordinator will work as part of a team to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient flow of goods to our Customers while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. What You'll Do Order Inspection: Inspect all items pulled from inventory based on the Pick List and customer orders for part number and quantity. Package and Prepare Shipments: Palletize, package, band, wrap or otherwise prepare products for shipment as required. Label boxes and pallets with appropriate shipping labels and ensure all products are packed according to company standards for safety and quality. Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that all shipments are correctly placed and secured. Shipping Documentation: Verify shipping documents, such as shipping labels, bills of lading and packing slips for accuracy and in compliance with customer requirements. Operate Warehouse Equipment: Properly and safely use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move and organize products within the warehouse. Inspect Shipments: Inspect outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors or the lead shipping coordinator. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the safe use of warehouse equipment. Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, organizing packing materials, and disposing of waste. What You'll Bring High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse or shipping environment. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or shipping software. Forklift certification or experience operating heavy machinery. Familiarity with international shipping procedures and documentation. What We Value Experience with basic warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (forklift certification preferred). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing. Basic understanding of shipping processes and warehouse operations. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in basic math for counting and verifying inventory. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. May be required to work overtime or weekends during peak shipping periods
