Shipping Associate

General Purpose: Commitment to outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments **Primary Responsibilities:** • This position is responsible for coordinating shipping and packing activities with production • Scale and ship orders on a timely and accurate basis • Collecting all orders at a central point and accurately labeling the orders • Using the computer and scanning gun to move the product to ensure that poultry combos are accountable and ready for shipping • Producing packing slips, invoices and purchase orders accurately to Shipping Clerk • Interacting with teammates to ensure all orders are packed efficiently and timely • Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs • Ensure compliance with established food safety programs, including HACCP programs, SSOPs and GMPs. • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. **Essential Skills and Abilities**: • Commitment to company values • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions • Ability to work in cool or warm temperatures • Ability to work in humid or wet environments • Ability to multitask and work quickly • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes to the needs of production • Must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees stations (less than 2 feet) • Must be able to lift 40 lbs • Must be able to stand and/or walk for entire 8-hour shift • Must wear correct job specific PPE as designated by company policy • Be able to work overtime when needed **Physical Demands and work environment:** The physical and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
