Work involves interviewing clients and others to obtain information to determine client eligibility. Serves as the point of contact for individuals (or LAR) seeking mental retardation services. Functions as a liaison between clients (or LAR) and internal and external providers. Works under moderate supervision with latitude for use of initiative and independent judgment. **Example of Work Performed** - Provides information regarding center and other community services, refers to community resources, and when appropriate facilitates the admission process. - Gathers historical, social, functional, psychiatric, developmental or any other information from the individual (or LAR) seeking MR services in order to assist Psychologist in determining eligibility. - Interviews client (or LAR) to gather information used in determining client eligibility for financial, medical, and/or social services. - Contacts sources to obtain or verify case data used in determining service eligibility. - Explains program benefits and requirements to client (or LAR). - Describes other community services available to the client and makes referrals as needed. Coordinates DMR/Endorsement process w/ client/LAR and Psychologist ## Requirements Bachelor’s degree – Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
