Service Associate, Environmental Services

**Department:** Scotland Memorial Hospital - Environmental Services **Status:** Full time **Shift:** Various (United States of America) **Schedule Details/Additional Information:** 1ST SHIFT 7AM-3PM EVERY OTHER WEEKEND **Job Description:** 1.Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods. ( See eight steps of cleaning chart ) 2.Dry mops floors and vacuums baseboards. 3.Damp mop floors where needed. 4.Keeps storage closets, cleaning carts clean and orderly. 5.Demonstrates proper use of wall washing equipment. 6.Assist in cleaning emergency spills. 7.Observes and reports the need for maintenance repairs in their assigned areas. 8.Establishes and maintains good patient relations and reports patient requests to nursing personnel. 9.Willingly performs tasks assigned by Supervisor/Director. 10.Demonstrates knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals. 11.Follows specific instructions and procedures in cleaning of isolation or contaminated rooms and areas. 12.Cleans isolation rooms as needed. 13.Uses Universal ( standard ) Precautions in all contact with patients blood and body fluids. ## **Careers** At Scotland Health Care System, we’re proud to employ a team of dedicated professionals who embody the Scotland Way.
