Senior Visual Designer, Search Verticals and International

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design. 5 years of experience designing in the consumer industry. 4 years of experience designing across multiple platforms. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization. 2 years of experience leading design projects. As a Senior Visual designer on the Search Verticals team, you will be an expert for all things visual design for verticals. You are experienced in user-centered product development, design systems, and collaborating with cross functional peers to drive alignment. You will bring thought-leadership and influence, shaping innovative solutions while mitigating unintended harm. You will have a strong design, business acumen, and a deep awareness of the latest design and technology trends. Responsibilities Mature and evolve the notion of framework by collaborating with other leads to form a cohesive offering across Google products. Define, maintain, and evolve the tools, processes, and communication around asset management across programs. Leverage principal contributors to explore concept development to influence product, a point-of-view around visual style, and product commitments. Defend Google products, our brand promise, and its unique value prop amid an interlaced relationship with Google’s master brand. Partner with visual programs within our organization to evolve and apply new design styles and aesthetics for our suite of products.
