Senior UX Engineer, YouTube Live

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 6 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping. Experience in application development in at least one platform/area (e.g., web, iOS, Android, CompDes, XR). Experience in Rapid Prototyping. Preferred qualifications: 7 years of experience developing responsive, adaptive, and performant websites and applications. 6 years of experience as a front-end developer, UX Engineer, creative or design technologist, or in a prototyping design environment. Experience in front-end technologies (e.g., web, mobile platforms) and experience in building robust, high-fidelity prototypes and production-level code to validate and deliver user experiences. Strong track record of collaborating effectively with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Software Engineers. Evidence of providing technical or design leadership, guiding implementation strategies, and actively contributing innovative ideas rather than just executing on defined tasks. Responsibilities Develop and iterate on robust, high-fidelity prototypes and technical proofs-of-concept to validate design concepts and influence product direction, potentially integrating with live data. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, performant, and accessible front-end implementations that meet user needs and product standards. Anticipate potential technical or design challenges and proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes. Drive consensus and build strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners (e.g., Product Managers, UX Designers, Software Engineers) to align priorities, and technical feasibility. Contribute to and evolve shared design systems, component libraries, or tooling that enhance UX consistency, development efficiency, and product excellence across teams.
