Senior Technical Instructor

About the Role: The technical instructor will be responsible for classroom and virtual delivery of Kong technical training. You will be working at a hectic and fast-paced startup as a member of the education team. This team is responsible for creating and delivering both online and instructor-led training to Kong customers and partners. Above all, you’ll be acting as a stellar teammate for the rest of Kong. What You’ll be Doing: - Working with a diverse team of people from all over the world - Deliver in-person and virtual instructor-led training offerings to diverse audiences including engineers, solutions architects, managers and operations personnel - Managing training sessions, addressing any issues that arise and keeping learners on track - Developing and optimizing curricula and associated training materials to support our internal and external training needs - Analyzing customer training requirements - Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned What You'll Bring: - Show passion and determination about technology - Enjoy working with others and collaborating - Self-awareness and strong communication skills are a must - Thrive in an agile work environment that requires flexibility and self-direction - Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail - Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects and deliverables - Prior experience in API management preferred - Proficient in Linux environments including Cloud and Development tooling - 5+ years developing curriculum for technical or software training courses including instructor-led materials, self-paced e-learning modules, and job aids - Ability to cater to multiple learning methods and to match the appropriate methods with the subject matter and audience - Experience working with a content management system, knowledge base, and/or online reference for learning - Can explain the benefits of using APIs and API governance clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Ability to travel to customer and Kong locations as-needed #LI-AP1 About Kong: Kong Inc., a leading developer of API and AI connectivity technologies, is building the infrastructure that powers the agentic era.
