Senior Tax Analyst

The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing complex corporate tax returns and relevant internal reports. - Prepare, review and file entities corporate tax returns and indirect tax returns. - Review statutory fiscal accounts to meet filing deadlines. - Prepare, review and submit internal management reports, including consolidation and review prior to submission to GeoMarket. - Identify and deliver continuous process improvements; support and implement automation. - Achieve operational effectiveness targets set for controls, and identify control improvements. - Deliver on Tax effectiveness and efficiency targets. - Coach less senior members of the Tax team. - Support on tax audits as required. - Understand and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. - BSc. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or ACCA Level 2 Certification - Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm as a Tax Analyst or Payroll Analyst with responsibility for computing and setting Income Tax Liabilities is preferred. - Working knowledge of Trinidad and Guyana Income Tax Acts. - Understanding of the CARICOM Tax Treaty and its application on Income Tax computations - Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Good analytical and critical thinking skills - Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills - Confidential, mature and adept at managing complex issues SLB offers equal employment opportunity.
