Senior Software Engineer TS/SCI w/Poly

**Purpose and Impact:** Amentum is seeking an experienced senior developer to create custom analytics to perform at scale. The software engineer will work closely with data scientists and end users to develop innovative analytic tools to further discovery and tradecraft around critical global challenges, then deliver innovative solutions focused on operationalizing data science. **Essential Responsibilities:** Work directly with data scientists as well as mission analysts to solve the most demanding strategic problems; perform end-to-end software engineering to prototype, develop, integrate, test, and deploy tools and tradecraft into the customer's corporate architecture. **Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):** - Strong experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Java MapReduce, Python PySpark - Strong experience with statistical analysis and machine learning fundamentals - Strong experience with customer tools, architecture, data flow, and use of big data - Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Gitlab; experience with Agile methodologies **Security Clearance Required:** - TS/SCI Poly **Minimum Years of Experience:** - A Doctoral degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or - a Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or - a Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or - an Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, or - a High School diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with software development processes (i.e., requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment/installation, and maintenance) and programming. - Experience with Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and using Large Language Models (LLMs)​ #javelin #ICpoly ***This position is not designated as a safety sensitive position.*** ***As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, Amentum is a drug-free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
