What You’ll Do: We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to play a critical role in scaling our core systems. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of backend engineering and large-scale infrastructure, building the foundational pipelines, APIs, and architectures that drive our healthcare advertising solutions and support our core products, reporting APIs, and analytics initiatives. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own complex systems end-to-end, champion engineering best practices, and collaborate seamlessly across product and technical teams to deliver high-performance, fault-tolerant solutions. Architect & Build: Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and cost-optimized distributed systems and backend services. Enable Self-Service Data: Build intuitive, automated ingestion and transformation pipelines that empower downstream users to seamlessly onboard and utilize new datasets. Develop Core APIs: Design and maintain secure, high-throughput reporting APIs and microservices (using Java/Spring Boot) to surface insights to internal tools and external customer-facing products. Champion Operational Excellence: Establish and enforce robust DevOps and DataOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code (IaC), and system observability. Optimize Performance: Evaluate and implement advanced data modeling, storage, and aggregation methodologies to meet complex, real-time reporting and analytics requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and Analysts to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures. Raise the Bar: Act as a technical multiplier by mentoring mid-level and junior engineers, leading code/design reviews, and continuously improving team standards. Who You Are: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, backend development, and building data-intensive applications at scale. Hands-on experience building and operating robust systems in public cloud environments (GCP or AWS). Deep proficiency with distributed processing and open-source Apache frameworks (e.g., Spark, Airflow, Kafka) as well as modern analytical databases (e.g., BigQuery, ClickHouse). Polyglot programming experience with strong coding skills in Java (Spring Boot) and SQL, alongside solid experience in Python and Bash scripting. A strong grasp of system design, API architecture, Agile methodologies, and cost-performance trade-offs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to articulate complex technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
