Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Developer (Leap Web Services) based in the United States.** The Senior Software Developer will contribute to the evolution of a cutting-edge quantum computing cloud platform, building reliable and scalable backend services that support a growing ecosystem of users and applications. This role focuses on designing, developing, and improving software solutions that enable advanced computational capabilities through modern cloud technologies. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative technology while expanding your expertise in quantum computing and next-generation software infrastructure ### Accountabilities: - Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services supporting a quantum-classical hybrid cloud platform. - Collaborate with product owners, software architects, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality features and solutions. - Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture discussions, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Build clean, maintainable, well-documented code while following software engineering best practices. - Develop and enhance REST APIs and backend services to support platform capabilities and user applications. - Maintain existing systems by identifying performance issues, inefficiencies, and opportunities for technical improvements. - Independently own development initiatives and contribute to moderately complex technical projects. - Troubleshoot and resolve software issues through detailed code-level and system-level analysis. - Participate in peer code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and help improve development practices. - Mentor junior and intermediate developers by supporting their technical growth and sharing engineering knowledge. - Contribute to performance optimization, scalability improvements, and platform reliability initiatives. - Identify technical blockers early and collaborate with teams to find effective solutions. - Participate in innovation initiatives, including internal hackathons and prototyping new ideas. - Support production reliability through on-call responsibilities after gaining sufficient platform knowledge. ## Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - 5+ years of professional software development experience. - Strong proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and application development. - Experience designing, implementing, and consuming REST APIs. - Strong understanding of software architecture, algorithms, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization. - Experience working in Linux-based development environments. - Proficiency with Git workflows, including branching, merging, and pull request processes. - Experience building reliable, scalable software systems in production environments. - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex technical challenges. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly across teams. - Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn and continuously improve. - Interest in improving engineering processes, tools, and operational practices. - Experience with Golang or Rust is a plus. - Experience with high-performance computing environments, workload managers such as Slurm or PBS, and heterogeneous hardware integration is preferred. - F…
