Senior SDET (IC4) - Senior Software Engineer in Test

Emburse is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SeniorSoftware Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between software development and quality assurance, designing and implementing robust automated testing frameworks that ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our applications. As an SDET, you’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to build efficient test solutions, drive continuous integration, and maintain a high standard of product quality across all releases. What You’ll Do : Work as the quality champion and SDET within a product scrum team on a large-scale highly distributed enterprise software solutionEstablish test plans/approach for features and functionalityEnsure code changes are thoroughly tested and released efficiently and with high quality Conduct system/E2E testing, and coordinate and execute release and deployment activities for Emburse releases Design and implement automation for integration and workflow tests Assess load/performance testing requirements and create tests to exercise and evaluate system performance under load Pair with developers to ensure applications and features are designed for testability Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners and other stakeholders to ensure our products and services are delivered with high quality Participate in peer code reviews and identifying opportunities to improve the reliability and maintainability of our test automation architecture Drive and lead test automation projects and architecture improvements and refactoring to improve test reliability, maintainability and performance Onboard and mentor new and junior team members May have a role in supervising others or leading small to moderate projects Establish test and automation strategies at a project or service level and influence decision making and technical direction Communicate and educate team on QA/Automation industry best practices Identify and evaluate new tools and approaches for testing, test automation and release management, and help introduce them to the larger team
