You'll be a key contributor to how we deliver quality, raising the bar for our automation codebase and partnering closely with engineering to define how testing responsibility is shared across the team. You’ll join our dynamic and growing Product Engineering team at Storyblok, playing an instrumental role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our flagship CMS platform. This platform empowers businesses to create and deliver seamless digital content experiences. In this role, you'll work closely with product owners, designers, and developers to design and maintain clean, scalable, well-architected TypeScript automation, establish clear guidelines on which test level is right for a given change, and continuously refine QA strategies to maintain best-in-class software quality. Your work will directly contribute to delivering an exceptional user experience by ensuring flawless performance across every facet of our application. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Own projects end-to-end with clarity, technical excellence, and accountability, ensuring high-quality standards across teams. Champion strong TypeScript engineering practices and coding standards across the QA codebase, promoting engineering excellence and driving continuous improvement. Design, implement, and maintain efficient, well-typed, and reliable automated tests across frontend and backend using Playwright. Raise the team's TypeScript bar: introduce stronger typing patterns, reusable abstractions, linting/tooling standards, and code review practices that improve maintainability across the automation codebase. Partner with engineering to define, implement, and enforce the test pyramid in practice, establishing clear guidelines on which test level (unit, integration, E2E) is appropriate for a given change, and driving adoption so both developers and QAs consistently write tests at the right level. Perform manual and exploratory testing; document, track, and verify defects to ensure product excellence and analyze test results and monitor key testing metrics to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement.
