## Description # Senior Project Manager **Location:** Remote **Compensation:** $125/hour ## Position Summary Spheros Environmental is seeking a **Senior Advisor – Groundwater Projects** to provide senior-level technical guidance and public engagement support for a portfolio of ongoing groundwater projects. This role serves as a trusted advisor to project teams and clients, offering strategic direction on complex groundwater issues while representing projects in public meetings, stakeholder engagement efforts, and regulatory discussions. The ideal candidate is an experienced groundwater professional with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build credibility with clients, regulators, and community stakeholders. This position focuses on high-level advisory services rather than day-to-day project execution, helping ensure technical excellence and successful project outcomes. ## Key Responsibilities - Provide senior technical guidance and strategic oversight for ongoing groundwater projects. - Serve as a subject matter expert on groundwater investigations, remediation, hydrogeology, and water resource management. - Support project teams by reviewing technical approaches, deliverables, and project strategies. - Represent Spheros and project teams during public meetings, community outreach events, regulatory meetings, and stakeholder discussions. - Communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences in a clear, professional, and approachable manner. - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, community members, and other project stakeholders. - Advise project managers on technical risks, regulatory considerations, and stakeholder engagement strategies. - Support business development efforts by participating in client meetings and providing technical insight during proposal development when needed. - Mentor technical staff by sharing knowledge and best practices across groundwater projects. ## Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). - 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in groundwater consulting, environmental services, or water resources. - Demonstrated expertise in groundwater investigations, remediation, hydrogeologic characterization, and regulatory compliance. - Experience presenting technical information in public forums and facilitating stakeholder engagement. - Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations related to groundwater. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences. - Professional licensure (PG, PE, or equivalent) preferred. - Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and provide strategic technical leadership. ## Preferred Skills - Experience supporting complex or high-profile groundwater projects involving multiple stakeholders. - Strong client relationship management skills and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor. - Experience working with public agencies, municipalities, or regulatory organizations. - Ability to navigate challenging public discussions while maintaining professionalism and credibility. **Why Spheros Environmental?** At Spheros Environmental, we value innovation, collaboration, and delivering exceptional results for our clients and communities.
