Senior Program Director – State Energy Program

**Job Overview:** The **State Energy Program Director** will be responsible for launching and delivering a state HOMES and HEAR program. The **Director** will work closely with the National Director and Program Directors to oversee, coordinate, and drive strategic initiatives within the program in addition to providing oversight of day-to-day operations. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role that requires exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills. The Director will be responsible for on-time delivery of program launch and execution of goals while providing high quality work aligned to U.S. Department Of Energy requirements. The Director will also be responsible for managing subcontractors to ensure a seamless implementation team. APTIM’s Energy Transition team is a recognized leader in the marketplace. This position will be responsible for making high-level and impactful decisions to define the path forward, providing strategic guidance and support to resolve barriers and find innovative solutions. The **State Energy Program Director** will provide leadership to the implementation team and be a main point of contact to the client. This role will lead a team to proactively collaborate to define and implement strategies and campaigns around key client drivers, with the primary focus of delivering projects in the market that meet U.S. Department Of Energy and State Energy Office governance and program requirements, exceed expectations and drive market transformation. **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** **Strategic Planning and Execution** - Develop start-up and implementation plans with input from implementation team to deliver all program elements on time while meeting or exceeding all requirements. - Establish excellent project management tools to track and report on progress to internal and external stakeholders. - Manage all stakeholders to ensure alignment to project schedule and rapid contingency planning as needed - Clearly communicate and inspire implementation team to aligned goals and objectives. - Keep abreast of U.S. Department Of Energy guidelines and developments to ensure ongoing program compliance and success. - Keep abreast of economic, policy and technology developments and changes related to energy and energy efficiency both locally and nationally. - Assume responsibility for identifying and capitalizing upon new opportunities for enhancing the program and services in alignment with evolving client, market, or customer needs. **Project Delivery** - Establish and maintain weekly production forecast. Proactively communicate results and establish corrective actions for forecast misses - Manage program financials in coordination with Portfolio Director. Maintain a detailed forecast inclusive of financial and operational elements - Continuously improve strategies, designs and operations to ensure the program maintains excellence or improves on KPIs. - Ensure work is performed safely, ethically, within budget, according to client requirements and schedule and with exceptional quality. **Team Leadership and Collaboration** - Lead efforts to create alignment between the implementation team and client - Lead an internal team, as well as subcontractors and consultants. - Ensure clear, transparent and appropriate communication with partners and client - Prepare effective communications (e.g., memos, presentations, analysis) to support program pol…
