Key Responsibilities Lead the design and architecture of scalable, resilient distributed systems and data plane services. Drive end-to-end feature delivery from requirements through deployment and production support. Define and review system architecture, APIs, and data models to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability. Optimize networking, traffic management, and security capabilities for high-throughput environments. Partner across Product, Platform, Security, and Engineering teams to deliver business-critical solutions. Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive engineering excellence and operational best practices. What We're Looking For 12+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems, networking, or platform development. Strong expertise in system design, distributed architecture, API design, and database technologies. Proficiency in Go, Rust, C, or C++ with a strong focus on performance and scalability. Proven track record of driving end-to-end delivery of complex technical solutions. Deep understanding of Linux internals, networking protocols, and production-scale systems. Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated technical leadership, architectural influence, and mentoring capabilities. Ownership mindset with a focus on quality, reliability, and continuous improvement. Nice-to-Have Experience with data plane architectures, DPDK, eBPF, or high-performance packet processing. Expertise in load balancing, proxying, NAT, tunneling, and network security technologies. Experience with cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, observability, and distributed tracing.
