Senior NPI Engineer, Actuators

What You'll Do Develop new highly automated manufacturing and pilot lines from concept to production for new and existing products. Drive development of new/innovative manufacturing processes from proof of concept through to full scale production that enable improved battery performance and/or cost Plan and Execute DoEs to characterize boundary conditions and optimize process for manufacturability and quality Own design/manufacturing liaison relationship to optimize product from an automation standpoint prior to release. Drive equipment and process optimization to increase yield, throughput, and availability while reducing cost and lead-time Manage installation, qualification, and ramp of development lines Generate machine specifications, standards, and documentation What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience developing and launching a manufacturing assembly line from concept to production with actuators or drive systems. 7+ years of experience in manufacturing and design of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems, with at least 1 year specifically focused on electric motors or electromechanical actuators. Proficiency in CAD software, specifically NX, for test fixture design, with an understanding of design for manufacturability for various methods (e.g., CNC, 3D printing). A strong sense of urgency and adaptability in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment. Nice to Have Experience with Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or other scripting languages for data analysis and test automation. Familiarity with project and documentation management tools like Jira and Confluence. Experience in the aerospace, defense, or robotics industry. US Salary Range $146,000 — $194,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
