Position Overview Woolpert is hiring an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic Mechanical Engineering team in South Florida. This position would be aligned with our office in Coral Gables, FL and would support full-time in-person or hybrid working arrangements. This position is responsible for leading engineering projects; overseeing project scope and schedule, performing Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing engineering technical work on complex projects, mentoring staff, applying proficiency in designing, analyzing, and reviewing Mechanical & Plumbing systems to ensure safety, sustainability, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located. #LI-SN1 What You Will Do as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Woolpert: Lead the design and development of mechanical HVAC and plumbing systems from concept through construction documentation and supporting construction administration. Perform heating and cooling load calculations using industry-standard software such as Trane Trace 3D Plus. Perform technical review and QA/QC reviews to ensure the delivery of code-compliant, and high-quality engineering deliverables Develop and modify models, plans, details, and drawings of mechanical and plumbing engineering systems and components according to established standards and modeling techniques. In depth knowledge of energy modeling using modeling software and techniques, including COMcheck and EnergyGauge. Support career development and technical skill advancement of team members. Conduct training sessions for internal employees when necessary. What You Will Bring: BA/BS or MA/MS in related field and 10 or more years related experience. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading engineering projects.
