We champion an inclusive culture and strive to attract and develop a talented workforce to create and deliver a wide range of content reflecting our world. ## Job Description The **Senior Manager, Software Engineering** leads a high impact pillar within the Legal & Privacy engineering organization, responsible for engineering the systems, platforms, and controls that enable the company to operate in compliance with global regulatory requirements and pro-actively managing enterprise risk. This leader is responsible for translating complex regulatory obligations into scalable, resilient, and engineering solutions enabling NBCUniversal. This role requires both deep technical and senior leadership with business acumen in the compliance and risk space. This leader will own the end-to-end delivery of compliance and risk technical solutions that enable capabilities across jurisdictions, partners directly with Legal, Cyber, and Compliance/Risk Product and Operations. This role will be responsible for hiring, retaining, and continuously assessing the health and growth of the compliance and risk engineering team. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** - **Engineering Leadership & Delivery** - Leads a team of software and quality engineers delivering compliance automation, AI solutions, risk controls, and regulatory technology platforms - Owns the engineering roadmap for the compliance and risk pillar while balancing regulatory urgency, technical sustainability, and product prioritization - Establish and uphold software quality, legal & privacy architecture and engineering standards, and NBCU cyber guidelines - Drive delivery across multiple complex concurrent programs/projects - Partner with Principal architect, scrum lead, product owner, and technical project manager to ensure standards and stakeholder visibility - **Compliance and Regulatory** - Translate regulatory requirements (eg. GDPR and CCPA) into technical a deliverable plan - Oversee platforms, automation, and AI solutions enabling the following business capabilities: Ethics & Compliance Enablement, Controls Engineering & Validation, Compliance Driven Vulnerability Discovery, Regulatory Compliance Automation, Risk Management Tooling, GRC Platform Operations, AI / ML Governance and Controls - **Stakeholder Engagement & Influence** - Serve as the senior technical voice for compliance and risk engineering - Communicate program status, risk exposure, and engineering trade-offs to SVPs, VPs and Directors in a clear and business relevant terms - Represent the organization in regulatory discussions, 3rd party audits, and external partner engagements as needed - **System Reliability & Performance:**…
