In many instances we out-compete those ranges for well-qualified candidates. **Job Summary** This position is available in DLB’s Mission Critical Department and focuses primarily on hyperscale data centers and related mission critical facilities. The Senior Lead Electrical Engineer, Mission Critical will have the opportunity to collaborate with all design staff and oversee full cycle electrical design activities for commercial building design and construction. This person will work as part of the Engineering Team and interact closely with organizational leadership to develop and edit project specifications and lead design development efforts. The Senior Lead Electrical Engineer, Mission Critical will be self-directed on day-to-day work and independently performs most responsibilities. Will lead project teams and projects of complex scope and broader programs. Will coordinate activities of other personnel. Assists in the development of policies and procedures. The Senior Lead Electrical Engineer, Mission Critical will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives. **Essential Functions** **Lead** **Electrical Engineering Design Activities (40%)** - Serve as the technical authority for complex mission critical electrical infrastructure projects. - Establish design strategies supporting highly resilient electrical systems for hyperscale data centers and other mission critical environments. - Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for engineering teams across multiple concurrent projects. - Independently perform advanced engineering work - Perform advanced electrical design tasks including development of electrical distribution systems and topologies, infrastructure and equipment layouts and selection / sizing of equipment from conceptual design through construction documents - Provide direction to project engineers to facilitate development electrical construction drawings and specifications - Utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to prepare drawings and visual aids - Review and / or prepare book or sheet specifications for electrical systems - Develop and / or review sequence of operations - Develop proposals including project scope, schedule and budget - Timely and effective management of project design team including resource forecasting and coordination - Identify potential project scope changes and aid in development of strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines - Perform QAQC peer reviews for projects where he or she is not the lead design engineer **Lead** **Construction Activities (20%)** - Survey existing building conditions and prepares technical reports of findings - Collect data and other information for construction documents - Prepare project design and construction documents - Lead the engineering team and interact closely with the project management team - Review shop drawings and submittals - Review and respond to RFIs - Review and complete punchlists and project closeout documents - Review and approve change order requests **Manage Stakeholder Relations (20%)** - ​Responsible for execution of the firm’s client value system and assuri…
