Senior Java Developer - London - Fintech

Hydra - our developer framework for accelerating the development and delivery of trading systems. Artio - our market-leading open-source FIX engine. Aeron Sequencer - replicated state machines at scale. YOU ARE: A great team player who loves sharing knowledge and learning from others A problem solver with strong analytical skills Excited about learning new things and keeping up to date Happy to work in a test-driven and Agile development fashion YOU HAVE: Experience in Java server-side software development Experience designing, building, debugging, and operating distributed systems Experience designing and evolving messaging protocols Experience designing and evolving software libraries Experience applying various forms of testing to underpin software qualities, e.g., correctness and performance Experience in measuring, benchmarking and profiling components and systems Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. YOU WILL: Design and develop Java applications and libraries. Write clean, efficient and well-documented code. Troubleshoot and debug Java applications to ensure smooth performance. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and reusability. Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Java development.
