As a **Senior Engineering Manager**, you will Oversee overall operations engineering activities at a manufacturing site(s). Ensure products are manufactured consistently, based on Abbott quality standards to meet market demands. **This is an onsite opportunity in Buffalo Grove, IL or Austin, TX.** **What You’ll Do** - Leads end-to-end project management to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget. - Ensures the performance, output, and continuous improvement of a significant number of fully and/or partly automated lines/processes. - Oversees and manages all operations engineering activities across multiple product lines and shifts at a manufacturer site(s). - Anticipates and resolves high-level issues and conflicts impacting operations success. - Makes difficult decisions regarding priorities among projects / programs. - Anticipates and identifies areas of strategic and tactical risk, mitigating risks through early risk assessment and mitigation strategies. - Sets and monitors performance and value indicators, leading project audits (scope, schedule, quality, cost) and adjusting as required. - Accountable for operational efficiencies and optimisations into manufacturing processes - Initiates and cultivates open, honest relationships with colleagues, customers, contractors, and vendors by establishing rapport, developing an understanding of others’ needs, promoting common goals, and following through on commitments. - Drive department financial budget planning and generation of multi-year planning. - Hires, retains, and develops a diverse, highly qualified engineering team; provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and mentoring. - Support the de…
