Senior Engineer (Platform)

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving ambiguous problems and raising engineering standards. ### Accountabilities: As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of platform capabilities while driving technical excellence across engineering teams. You will work on complex systems, mentor peers, and help define scalable solutions that support business and product growth. - Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable platform architectures and backend services. - Develop backend applications using strongly typed programming languages such as C# or TypeScript, including functional programming approaches where applicable. - Build and improve services, APIs, and infrastructure components that support reliable product experiences. - Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience in PostgreSQL preferred, to create efficient and scalable data solutions. - Contribute to long-term architectural planning, technical strategy, and platform-wide improvements. - Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt, improve system performance, and enhance engineering efficiency. - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and Infrastructure as Code practices. - Apply security best practices across applications and infrastructure, including secure coding, vulnerability management, and secrets handling. - Troubleshoot complex technical issues and act as a subject matter expert for system reliability and performance. - Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define requirements, scope projects, and deliver impactful solutions. - Mentor junior engineers through coaching, code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance. - Promote engineering best practices, Agile methodologies, and a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Stay current with emerging technologies in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, AI/ML applications, and secure software development. ## **Requirements:** The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineer with strong expertise in platform engineering, modern architectures, and scalable systems.
